Thour Mountain

To the south of Makkah lies Tour Peak. In the southern direction of Makkah, it is a rocky and barren hill and its height is about 761 meters above sea level. This mountain houses the cave of Tour, in which the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and his companion Abu Bakar spent three days hiding from the Quraish tribe. In front of the cave, a tree grew, a dove built a nest on it and laid eggs. To shield the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) from his enemies, a spider spread his web over the cave's opening.

Auction Makka

Makka Auction is as the name suggests, an auction house. Located in Hilton Tower, very next to the Grand Mosque, it is a permanent auction center. It is a very different way of shopping, to say the least. It shows the stuff and then people bid on them.

It is more important, as mentioned in the hadiths Madinah (Medina) is the second holiest city in Islam, located 400km north of Makkah. Mohamed (PBUH) and his followers left Makkah and joined Yathrib, which welcomed them, after learning of a plot to kill him. He had it renamed Al Madinah.
