Itinerary
Day 1: The Major Dams - Vaigai and Sothuparai
- Morning: Arrive in Theni and head directly to Vaigai Dam (approx. 14 km from Theni town). This is one of the most significant dams in the region, offering beautiful views of the surrounding hills and the Vaigai River. You can take a leisurely walk along the dam, explore the "Little Brindavan" garden on its side, and enjoy the scenic beauty.
- Afternoon: Travel to Sothuparai Dam (approx. 12 km from Periyakulam). This dam, nestled at the foot of the Kodaikanal hills, is a serene and less crowded spot. It offers a tranquil atmosphere, perfect for a picnic and nature photography. The drive to the dam itself is very scenic, with views of rolling hills and lush greenery.
- Evening: Head back to your accommodation in Theni or a nearby town like Periyakulam. You can spend the evening exploring the local markets and enjoying local cuisine.
Day 2: Dams and Waterfalls in the Mountains
- Morning: Take a trip to Meghamalai, also known as the "High Wavy Mountains." While Meghamalai is a hill station, it's home to several dams, including Highwavys Dam and Iravangalar Dam. The journey to Meghamalai is a highlight in itself, with winding roads and beautiful tea plantations.
- Afternoon: Visit the dams in Meghamalai and explore the surrounding area. Highwavys Dam offers panoramic views. You can also visit Chinna Suruli Falls, which cascades down from the Meghamalai hills and is a perfect spot for a refreshing break.
- Evening: Enjoy a walk through the tea and cardamom plantations in Meghamalai. The misty hills and fresh mountain air make it an ideal place to unwind. You can stay in Meghamalai for the night to fully immerse yourself in the hill station experience.
Day 3: River and Dam Views, and Departure
- Morning: Visit Manjalar Dam, which is located near the road to Kodaikanal. The dam and its reservoir on the Manjalar River offer a peaceful and picturesque setting, especially in the early morning with the possibility of fog. The view from the dam bridge is particularly impressive.
- Afternoon: As you make your way back towards Theni town for your departure, you can visit the local markets for some last-minute shopping. Theni is known for its fresh spices, grapes, and agricultural products.
- Evening: Depart from Theni.
This itinerary is designed to give you a comprehensive tour of the most prominent dams in Theni district, each with its unique natural setting and charm. It also includes some of the region's beautiful waterfalls and hill station scenery for a complete natural experience.

In case the preferred slots are unavailable, an alternate schedule of the customer’s preference will be arranged and a new confirmation voucher will be sent via email.
Alternatively, the customer may choose to cancel their booking before confirmation and a full refund will be processed.

- 10 to 15 days: 75% + Non Refundable Component
- 15 to 30 days: 30% + Non Refundable Component
- 10Hotel / Air: 100% in case of non-refundable ticket / Hotel Room
- 10Cruise / Visa: On Actuals
