The Falls of Suruli
The Suruli Falls are famous for the 18 caves that depict 18th-century Indian rock-cut architecture. This waterfall lies approximately 47 km from Theni. In two steps, the waterfall cascades and it falls from a height of 150 ft. The water gathers into a pool and then plummets about 40 ft again. The place from which the Suruli Falls originate in Meghamalai. The beauty of this fall is sung by the Tamil poet Ilango Adigal in the epic, Silappathikaram. Gowmariamman Temple
Local beliefs claim that by worshipping Gowmariamman and Kanneeswaramudaiyar, King Veerapandiya regained his vision. It is believed that Gowmari, the consecrated goddess of the temple, fulfills the desires of the devotees and heals them from various illnesses and diseases. During the Tamil month of Chithirai, the Gowmariamman Temple's main festival falls in April and May and is celebrated for 8 days. Gowmariamman Temple is situated in a village called Veerapandi, 8 km away from Theni.
Shanmuganathi Dam
In the scenic history of the Meghamalai Hills, the Shanmuganathi Dam is located. It is constructed at Rayapanpatty in the Theni district on the Shanmugha river.
