In Tamil Nadu, Madurai is the third-largest city. This fantastic city has different names for various reasons. Temple City, City of Four Junctions, City of Jasmine, and City That Never Sleeps are the most common names. The prominent tourist attractions of Madurai are the Spell-bound architecture of temples constructed by Pandayan and Madurai Nayak kings. This is a famous Hindu pilgrimage to this religious city. The city is renowned for great festivals, in addition to Dravidian style architecture. Colorful celebrations bring some flavor to the festivals. In addition, the city plays a major role in the economy. Madurai is a major producer of rubber and serves all of the nation's prime industries.

The Mosques

Temple City justifies the city's name. Meenakshi Temple is Madurai's most prominent temple. To visit its Dravidian architecture, visitors around the globe visit Madurai. In Hinduism, the temple holds major importance and is devoted to the Meenakshi goddess. Located in the heart of the district, three stairs of the Lord's Pose are housed in Koodal Alagar Temple. Some of the city's other prominent temples are Thiruparankundram and Pazhamudhir Solai.

Just 5 km away from Kumily, Pandikuzhi is located. Nearby locations and those who are easily linked to this place choose this place as a weekend destination that others can choose during their trip to Thekkady.

Thekkady waterfall

Thekkady is renowned for the Periyar National Park, but not many people know about this spectacular perennial waterfall on private property. One must book a jeep safari to reach this Thekkady waterfall that takes you through the mesmerizing tea estate. The best thing was that this waterfall was just a few kilometers from the campsite where we stayed.

Kuttikkanam

Perched over 3500 ft above sea level, Kuttikanam hill station is well known for its beautiful weather and peaceful atmosphere that attracts tourists from far and wide. Kuttikanam is one of the best options for a relaxing holiday. Kuttikanam will be the best option if you want to have enough outdoor fun in the form of nature trails, plantation tours, or adventure trips, or pace down a bit in the lap of nature. For a relaxing and fun holiday, the green-capped hills, the fresh mountain air, and the mist around will provide the ideal backdrop. For a romantic holiday, a family day out, or for business meetings alike, Kuttikanam is well-cut. The former summer campsite of the Travancore kings of Kerala, it has a good climate throughout the year. Some of Kuttikanam Tours' attractions include the falls of Valajanganam, the summer palace, and the crypt.

Kuttikkanam's history is closely associated with its tea plantations. In reality, after the tea plantations emerged, the place also saw human settlements. Like this, it goes. The area was unpopulated during the rule of the kings of Changanacherry in the 16th century. In 1756, the rulers of Travancore captured Changancherry. When it came under their influence, a Christian missionary, Henry Baker, started coffee plantations in the area. The tea was later added to Kuttikkanam. During the British reign in India, Kuttikkanam grew into an up-market resort. The big problem here was insufficient transportation routes. Thus, the first of its kind in Travancore saw the beginning of Aerial ropeway ltd a public limited company. The enchanting natural beauty of Travancore was remembered by the rulers of Travancore, too. This was where their summer palace was housed.

Water Falls Lakkom

The water at Lakkom Water Falls is approximately 35 km from Munnar on the road to Udumalaipettai. The waterfall is part of the Eravikulam stream, which is part of the National Park of Eravikulam. One of the main tributaries of the Pamper river is this stream. For swimming, the pool underneath the waterfall is perfect.Move on a narrow winding path through the thick tea plantation and experience this silky white wonder of nature. You can also see your toe twiddling on the rocks in the transparent water of the pool below. From afar, the water takes a dive from a dense green forest and the sight of this small but charming waterfall is spellbinding. A little away from the drops, there is a small shop that serves mouth-watering Kerala food, such as fish, rice, sambhar, etc.

Waterfalls from Valanjanganam

Kuttikkanam, Idukki district, is one of the popular tourist destinations in Kerala. This waterfall can be seen by those who go to Velankani, Palani, Munnar, Thekkady, Vagamon, and Parumthumpara as it is located on their path. Also referred to as Ninnumullippara are the Valanjanganam waterfalls, and as it comes on their path, travelers to Velankani, Palani, Munnar, Thekkady, Vagamon, Parumthumpara will pass by these falls. The waterfalls are truly beautiful, and from all the froth forming from the drops, they are fairly milky. The waterfalls go under the road and on the other hand, proceed as a drain. The police let us know that someone recently fell into the waterfalls and died while taking a selfie, so it is strictly forbidden to go near the falls, and it is only appropriate to enjoy them from the roadside. Standing on the side of the lane, you feel the mist floating from the waterfalls in the air, and it's a very beautiful view. In the movie "Baahubali-The Beginning" of these waterfalls, I was reminded of the beautiful waterfalls.

A soul-captivating view is provided by the perspective at Panchalimedu that will leave you mesmerized. This place also has a legendary value, as legend says that Panchalimedu acted as a hiding place from the great epic Mahabharata for the Pandavas and their wife Panchali. A pond named after Panchali, called Panchalikkulam, can also be found there. You can see from this pond the Makarajyoti or the holy flame lit during the pilgrimage season in Sabarimala.
